Motivation

What get's you motivated to go workout?...What get's you motivated to achieve a goal?

You may think because I am a Personal Trainer now, and since it's my job to work people out and motivate them to live a more healthy life, that it is easy for me to wake up at 6 AM to workout....yah, it is still not easy.

I may be one of those annoying people that like working out and getting my sweat on, but sometimes getting started is still really hard for me.  I am still human and find it challenging at times to schedule working out into my busy life. See, even I give myself excuses why I don't workout!!!

The biggest thing that motivates me to workout right now, is all of you! My friends and family that have encouraged me and motivate me everyday to keep going and not give up. Knowing that I am an example to others helps me to understand the influence we all have on one another. I'll be thinking of you when my alarm goes off tomorrow! ha!

So in writing this post I am going to challenge myself to keep working out (especially to not feel guilty for missing a few days) and start running again. I just signed up for a 10K race on December 15th so I've got 7 weeks to train for it. It is just a fun run, but I want it to feel good and fun...hence the training!! The run sounds really REALLY fun, because each runner gets a Santa Suit to run in! How great is that? I won't lie that is one thing that drew me to it! I love dressing up!

I hope you are all doing well, and that my 'openness and honesty' helps you to keep going and not give up on your dreams and goals! We can DO IT!

Happy snowy October!

p.s I'm hoping to run an indoor bootcamp starting Nov. 6th in the Southwest (off Anderson before 24th Street) I will give more details about times, dates, location and price. Let me know if you are interested and I'll be sure to keep you in the loop. Oh, the loop! I love being in the loop! hahaha!

Dreams do come true!

Hello All!!

I just got in the door from teaching bootcamp tonight. It was a great class. I feel so blessed and grateful to be running this class. These ladies work their tails off and yet still leave smiling!! We even laugh during our hour together! It is a great time. It is great to be outdoors and enjoying the weather before it really gets cold...brrr!

I just want to share a little insight I've had as of late. I have days where I feel like a dirty sock....just plain useless! What are you going to do with a dirty sock? right...it's pretty useless. (hah---I was trying to think of a clever analogy but that is all that came to mind) Anyway, back to when I feel useless, it is not such a great feeling I must admit. But then I realized how much I have done since I started making goals for myself. I am far from perfect, but each day I work towards one goal or another. Today I really felt the "I reached my goal". I have always wanted to run a bootcamp class, ever since I took one. I have always wanted to help and motivate people. I am finally doing it and it feels amazing!!

So, whatever your goals may be never tell yourself you can't do it, because you never know until you try.  Thanks to everyone who has helped me reach my goals and keep me where I am.

Goodnight!
